Our Staff
Wendy Abrams
Wendy Abrams, CPWEP, and Manager of Belltower Chapel knows our venue from all perspectives. Wendy was the first bride at Belltower, prior even to our renovations. Her love of cooking inspired her prior career in the catering industry before coming to work for ACH Child and Family Services where she jumped at the chance to work events once again—only this time in a different capacity.
Wendy is a Certified Professional Wedding & Event Planner who received her certification from UTA and has logged hundreds of hours planning and coordinating Belltower Chapel events.
“I love my job; I love being part of such a happy and personal event, even if only in a minor way; and I love the fact that it’s for a good cause.”
Julie Brown
I was born and raised here in Fort Worth. I have a very large family and always ended up being the one to plan and coordinate our family gatherings and weddings. Using my organizational and interpersonal skills to play a part in making wonderful memories for our clients is a true joy for me. As the Executive Assistant to Dr. Wayne Carson, CEO of ACH Child and Family Services, I also like playing a part in making Belltower Chapel & Garden a successful venture for the agency.
Laurie A. McCoy
My name is Laurie A. McCoy, a loving wife and mother of twins. I started working as an Event Coordinator at the Belltower Chapel & Garden shortly after it opened, in the spring of 2010. It is truly my joy to assist people with their weddings and receptions. My professional background consists of sales, marketing, grant writing and nonprofit management. I am also an active community volunteer. I graduated from Mount Holyoke College and received a masters degree from Texas Christian University. Having fun and making people happy are priorities in all of my endeavors.
Sarah Tiemann
I’m Sarah Tiemann and though not a native born Texan, I’ve lived here since the age of 6 (both of my parents are from Texas). A friend of mine that is a Wedding Planner lost her assistant and the rest is history. I was hooked—I have always loved planning parties and events! I enjoy meeting and working with different couples and watching their personalities shine through at their weddings. It’s a joy for me to be able to help make it a memorable occasion for them. I was a radio DJ in college; have been to Serbia on a mission trip and gave birth to my niece, Trinity on January 15, 2010! Being a surrogate for my older sister is one of my proudest accomplishments.
Erika Brumley
I’m Erika Brumley and I’m from Fort Worth. My grandmother had a wedding coordinating business for years and I worked with her from the time I was a child through my teens and always loved it. I love planning special events and playing a part behind the scenes in making one of the best days of a couple’s life together successful and happy. In becoming ordained to perform wedding ceremonies, my hope is to make it possible for non-traditional couples to easily express their love and commitment, and say “I do.”
In my spare time I volunteer for many organizations in Fort Worth as well as “volunteering” my friends and family (they like to call it being “volun-told!”).
Jody Massey
My name is Jody Massey. I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana but am a long-time Texan! I got into the wedding business through my work as a volunteer for ACH Child and Family Services. I have always loved event planning and was very excited to be brought on as a staff member. I love witnessing the start of a couple’s journey together and to see all the months of planning come together successfully. I’m very creative and am known for making trash into treasure.
Tamesha Walker
I have over six years of event planning experience, which includes two years of wedding planning, and I am a member of the American Association of Certified Wedding Planners (AACWP) where I have earned my Trained Wedding planner certification. Coupled with a flair for creativity and an ability to critically evaluate situations, I have a passion for coordinating weddings and special events from beginning to end. Planning weddings is my heart’s joy!
Meagan Bechtel
I was born in Fort Worth, but spent the majority of my childhood a little farther out in the country (in Bridgeport, to be specific). My husband and I have made our home in the north Fort Worth area, and we’re loving our first little apartment. Like many brides, I was completely enamored with my own wedding-planning experience at Belltower. When our lovely event was over, I just couldn’t reconcile giving it up, and found my way back to the Belltower Chapel & Garden, as an event coordinator. I think the thing I love most about weddings is how different they are. I love the individual takes on tradition, and the personal touches of each wedding. A fun fact about me… I love styling photo shoots, and am eager to work with more events in the future!
